What is biodegradability?
The ability of organic substances and materials to decompose into simpler substances due to the enzymatic activity of microorganisms.
Why is it important for products to be biodegradable?
We find ourselves in an increasingly globalized world where we generate many materials and substances that impact people’s lives and the environment on a daily basis.
Pollution has reached very high levels, therefore, in order to preserve the planet we need the materials and substances we produce to be increasingly biodegradable, we need the substances to be able to decompose organically and be able to reintegrate into the earth.

WHAT DO WE REQUIRE?
That the sample is soluble in water.
100 ml or 100 g of sample duly sealed and identified.
ANALYSIS TIME
The duration of the analysis is 32 days from the date scheduled by the laboratory for the start of the test.

What are the requirements for my sample?
The laboratory will verify that the samples are intact, i.e. sealed, identified, without drips, spills, etc. If not, we will contact you.
By what method is the analysis performed?
For biodegradability analysis, EPA Method 796.3200-1995 is used, and applies to liquid samples, soluble compounds and volatile compounds.
Is NORMEX accredited to perform these tests?
Yes. Our tests are accredited by the enitidad mexicana de acreditacion, a. c. (ema, a.c.) under number AG-015-002/09.
